Questions, Answered
Straight answers, in keeping with our policy of telling you what others won't. If your question isn't here, call us. A real person answers.
Your first visit is a real medical consultation. We assess your health history and your goals, photograph and analyze your skin where relevant, and walk you through appropriate options, including realistic outcomes, potential risks, and exact pricing. You leave with a written plan, and no obligation to book treatment.
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Tell us what you see in the mirror or how you want to feel, and our physician-led team will map the options, including which treatments we would not recommend for you. Start with our Concerns page if you'd like to browse by what's bothering you rather than by treatment name.
Every protocol at The Body Bar MD is designed and supervised under our physician-led model. Our Medical Director, Dr. Mohamad Zanbrakji, a board-certified general surgeon and critical care physician, leads the Aesthetics Clinic, and Dr. Faran Ghumman, board-certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, leads the Health & Wellness Clinic. Your provider reviews your full health history before any treatment is performed.
Often, yes. Depending on the procedure, we may ask you to avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, certain skincare actives, sun exposure, or alcohol beforehand. You'll receive specific written instructions at your consultation, and we confirm them again before your appointment.
It varies by treatment. Many of our services (Botox, glass skin facials, laser hair removal) have little to no downtime. Deeper treatments like Morpheus8 or medium-depth peels may involve a few days of redness or flaking. We always tell you exactly what to expect before you commit.
Some treatments show visible changes immediately (facials, fillers), while collagen-building treatments like Morpheus8, microneedling, and PRP develop over weeks to months. Your provider sets a realistic timeline for your specific plan at consultation.
Frequently, yes. Many of our signature programs are built on smart combinations, like Forma radiofrequency layered into a facial, or microneedling with PRP. Whether a combination is appropriate for you is a clinical decision we make based on your skin, health history, and recovery windows.
Yes. Our Candela GentleMax Pro Plus laser platform uses dual wavelengths that allow safe, effective treatment across all skin tones, including darker skin. Peel and device settings are physician-calibrated to your skin, never run from a generic template.
Book online through our booking page, call 410-861-0206, or email us. We see patients by appointment seven days a week, 9 AM to 7 PM. If you need to reschedule, please let us know as early as you can so we can offer your time to another patient.
Aesthetic treatments are elective and not covered by insurance. Some wellness services, labs, or medications may interact with insurance or HSA/FSA accounts depending on your plan. We're happy to provide documentation, and we'll discuss costs transparently before treatment.
be infinite.
Bring it to a consultation, or just call. We'd rather over-explain than have you wonder.
