Dr. Mohamad Zanbrakji, a board-certified general surgeon and critical care physician, directs the Aesthetics Clinic, and Dr. Faran Ghumman, board-certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, leads the Health & Wellness Clinic, with a medical board overseeing protocols and safety. That means clinical assessment before treatment, settings calibrated to your skin and health, and honest guidance, including when a treatment isn't right for you.
Where is The Body Bar MD located and what areas do you serve?
We're at 9050 Baltimore National Pike, Suite 104, in Ellicott City, MD 21042, on the Route 40 corridor. We serve patients across Howard County and the greater Baltimore area, including Columbia, Catonsville, Clarksville, Elkridge, and Fulton, most within a 15–20 minute drive.
Is laser treatment at The Body Bar MD safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Our Candela GentleMax Pro Plus platform uses dual wavelengths (755nm and 1064nm) that treat all skin tones safely, including deeper skin. Settings are chosen by clinical assessment for your individual skin, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
What treatments does The Body Bar MD offer?
Two clinics under one roof: an Aesthetics Clinic (laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation, Morpheus8, glass skin facials, chemical peels, microneedling, mesotherapy, PRP, Botox and fillers) and a Health & Wellness Clinic (medically supervised weight loss with GLP-1 therapy, TRT/HRT, and menopause hormone care).
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
Aesthetic consultations are complimentary. Our physician-led wellness programs (weight loss with GLP-1 therapy, TRT/HRT, and menopause hormone care) run $199 per month, with initial consultation details provided when you book. Every consultation is a real medical assessment of your goals, health history, and options, ending with a written plan and exact pricing. There's no obligation to book treatment at your consultation.
